you can get an impeachment. You cannot get an impeachment out of thin air. There would have to be a thorough investigation. When does the investigation start? Then we can talk about impeachment.

3. Probably not
At least not yet.

I think we, as a nation, are moving in that direction; but as for whether or not the Bush administration can change direction, I cannot say. Certainly they've been trying all year and most of their distractions haven't done the trick yet.

6. Bring it up again tomorrow.
And the day after and next week and next month and every day the house is in session until the 06 elections.

Or better yet, do nothing.

5. So best we do nothing then, right?
It takes one congressman to file for impeachment. Congress would be forced to act on it.

9. I would wholly support impeachment but..

that is putting the cart before the horse. We need to call for a thorough investigation, in a non-partisan manner, and then let the facts call for an impeachment. Calling for an impeachment right out of the box looks very partisan and is doomed to failure, in my most humble opinion.

10. That call has been made over and over again.
The anitwar caucus in the house has been demanding an investigation into the events surrounding the war. Harry Reid has been trying to force the second round of the senate independent bipartisan investigation into the Iraq War intelligence failures - the round that is targeted on the administration's role. All to no avail as the majority will have none of it. So there won't be an investigation. So your strategy is a do-nothing strategy.

I say the high crimes and misdemeanors are bloody obvious to everyone except the whore-media punditocracy. Call for impeachment today, tomorrow, the next day. Call for it every day and make it the focus of the 06 campaign. Let the voters decide with their ballots if there ought to be an investigation, if there ought to be an impeachment, if this administration ought to be held accountible for its actions.

And we better fight like hell to make sure every vote is counted.

7. it may already be going on if Fitz watches the news

Where did Bolton get his info that he gave Libby about Joe Wilson? We Know that Bolton has admitted recieving NSA intercepts. We know that he gave Libby CIA reports about Wilson. Was one of those intercepts one that Bush authorized?

Remember, impeachments don't necessarily have to be about fine points of law. The mere fact that the intercepts were or could have been used for political activity instead of national security as Bush says should be enough to start the firestorm, IF we get proof. All there has to be is a media meltdown for the republicans to peel off and open the door to investigations.
