a little love for Malloy.
We've been fortunate enough to have Mike and Kathy attend quite a few DU get-togethers in Atlanta, starting with the very first back in 2002.


Mike getting a tie-dye from DUer Kodi (aka AJA)

Although I'm not sure I agree as much with his point re: the DNC as I did when McAuliffe was in charge, I understand that too.

8. I am not, thats why I disagree with Malloy
DNC is not DLC. Howard Dean runs the show. To be mad at DNC because of DLC members or actions of the DNC under previous leaders is foolish. Especially in light of how important 2006 is.

Everyone watch Howard Deans video today? Thank DNC donars.

15. You're right.
I just notice a lot of blind loyalty to the Dem Party in general. We've seen how bad the Repugs get with a base of blind loyalty supporters, and I just tend to regard it with a lot of caution anywhere I see it.

5. here's more.
They've read DU for a long time, but this was the 2002 gathering, when they didn't know any of us from Adam's housecat. Mike was great, and got up and spoke at length.

6. I LOVE his shows
He can be frustrated and consequently hateful, but aren't most of us once in a while?

I know I was back in 2000, he was just the only one speaking truth to power I could find that released feelings that NEEDED release.

I sometimes dislike his lack of precision, but we can't all be DU research quality stuff.

To me, he is an antidote.

I didn't miss a show in years 'cept now my wireless headphone is broken.

That's half of the problem. Too many Americans have lost a true connections to their emotions. In a sense, they are on "cruise control" emotionally. When they see raw emotion, they get the deer in the head-light effect.

Know your emotions, every single one tells you something very important.

Also had the pleasure of meeting Mike & Kathy at a DU gathering in DC...we were all attending the first anti-war protest, long before the war even started. It was an honor protesting next to them as well as with other fellow DU'ers. If only we were listened to.

I remember first listening to Malloy when he was on WSB-AM. I was in the car and changed the station and heard him talking. I thought, "OMG! This guy is actually making sense, unlike that lying shill fake libertarian Neil Boortz. I must find out who he is!"
