1. msnbc quoted the latest WaPo poll I believe and said 47%
they also questioned whether it was an outlier since it varied so significantly from theirs last week.

2. If he has nothing to hide he should not be getting ready to walk
the NYT down the gangplank, Cheney should get off his task force records, this should not be the most secretive administration in history.

5. Oh I agree with you, I'm just dealing with a nut job
that seems to live in a cave watching Fox propaganda news. He doesn't even get it that the city he lives in is totally dependent on GM. He says its going to bring more jobs when Delphi closes the factory in the city. This guy is such a nut job that he actually believes his non sense.

10. They Really Don't Get It, Do They?
It really depends on the current definition of "doing something wrong". Bush & the others are paranoid. They will get around to spying on Republicans eventually when they *really* lose it. Dictators always eventually turn on their own supporters.

11. It's perfectly legal to jerk off while wearing your wife's knickers
But does that mean you'd want some Homeland Security flunky watching you on a security cam?

12. It's okay if we live in a police state...
only those guilty of something should be bothered by it.

Hey... why send our troops out to fight for our freedoms? After all, our freedoms mean so little to us that we can offer them up to King George in exchange for some safety. So why should our troops bother?

If there is anyway to support and honor our troops it is to staunchly defend the Constitution they have sworn to protect.

Anything less gives aid and comfort to the enemy.

13. Ok I got him to admit where he got his information from
he said msn, which states their polls mean little or nothing as they are unreliable because more then one vote can be done by one person. In other words, you can go on msn and vote as many times as you have accounts on msn. You should see him foaming at the mouth trying to protect his great leader. Lmao, he even called me a commie because i called shrub a public employee that was supposedly voted into office by we the people, {no I don't believe shrub won in either 2000 or 2004}.

15. Oy...
"If you're innocent you've got nothing to worry about", right?
WRONG....
What a lot of these often very well-meaning people don't realize is that they're not the ones who decide what constitutes 'innocence'; it's those who are doing the illegal spying and wire tapping.
And if they WERE 'innocent' they wouldn't be the subjects of this kind of illicit surveillance in the first place.

And do they really want their love/sex lives, their kids' troubles, their shopping lists, fights with in-laws, existential doubts etc. laid out in front of an uncaring or hostile audience and picked apart for signs of 'insurgency'?

I mean...actually THINK about it for a minute.
