I refuse to knuckle under to Steinbreunner's money. As for Johnny -- big mistake, cowboy. You will find that wanting a thing isn't the same as having a thing. You're going to be just one more face (clean-shaven at that) in a crowd, as A-Rod found out. In keeping with the spirit of the season, as Belle said to Scrooge, "May you be happy in the life you have chosen."

I'll have something else to say about this later today -- need to get to work and have a little fun with photoshop. :)

I say that as a Braves fan...or an Anyone But Yankees fan!

I'm sick of him trying to buy a pennant every year. What he's done is to drive up salaries so far that unless you're, well, HIM, you can't afford to keep more than one or two good players on a team - if you can afford that many.

These guys have however long to make what they make and they are going to take it from whoever is paying it out. The only thing that isn't going to happen is a starting pitcher worth more than 10 good 6 inning starts taking any obscene amount of Tom Hick's money to play for the Rangers. :banghead:
