With this news, Bush's approval rating goes up 6 points. He can spy on me all day long. It seems that most honest people don't care if the government taps the phones of people connected with terrorism.

Well Tony, if you are able to make the statement that you just made, that you would let this, or ANY president spy on you, and you love it because his poll number are up, then Tony, I am no longer even going to debate you, because let’s face it, you are not all there. I wonder the bounds of Bush followers. How far will they allow him to go? I remember when Bush was first elected and starting to talk of changing the Constitution to take away rights and I was shocked that Americans would stand for the use of the Constitution in that way. And my friend warned me, saying that we have seen nothing yet. He said PNAC has a specific agenda to grab power, to re-work the concepts in the Constitution (for example regarding privacy as well as others), and to take more power for the presidency.

He was right.
