Do the rightwingers ever check even ONE of their batshit "facts?"
Yesterday at lunch, the RW morons at the bar were spouting off about how "socialized medicine in Canda is wrecking the Canadian economy."

I don't know which motormouth dipshit on RW radio or TV came up with THAT lille lie, but they must have heard it just that morning.

Funny, it only takes about five minutes on Google to confirm what I've seen with my own eyes: The Canadian economy is just fine. Better, in may ways than ours.

And, of course, when I asked them when was the last time they were in Canada and looked around,or did some research on the Canadian economy, they started barking Clinton! Clinton! Clinton! like they always do.

Fuck it. I'm going to pick a new place for Mrs R and me to have lunch.

2. If they believe it, it's a "fact"
regardless of whether it is true or not. A connection to objective reality is not required.

5. You're right. I just printed the REAL facts on both the Canadian economy
the truth about the "Clinton spied on Americans too" and I'm going back there today.

Fuck 'em.

6. Tiny Tucker said that recently.
Edited on Wed Dec-21-05 11:42 AM by madeline_con

Tucker Carlson falsely claimed that countries with government-run health care spend more as percentage of GDP than the U.S.
During a discussion about health care on the October 21 broadcast of HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher, MSNBC host Tucker Carlson falsely claimed that less is spent on health care in the United States, as a percentage of gross domestic product (GDP), than in countries with nationalized health care.

8. Maybe his figures differentiate between what is actually spent
on health care and what is siphoned off by the insurance industry. Between what is paid in health insurance premiums, what is paid in medical malpractice premiums, and other medical insurance policies, insurance sucks away about half to total health care costs in this country.

I've always said, we don't have a healthcare crisis. We have a healthcare insurance crisis.

7. We've had "socialized medicine" since the early 60's
And the only problems we've had with the economy is when we let the Conservative Governments (Mulroney, especially) spend us into deficits.
