C-Span Question
Does anyone know why C-Span shows a running total of votes when they are being electronically recoreded but do not show a running total when a recorded voice vote is inprogress?

1. i think they show the total for the House but not the Senate

3. My guess is...
...the electronic votes go directly into the production, while the voice totals would have to be keyed in by a human.

5. I Sort Of Thought That .... but,
Then I figured that one of those folks sitting at the tables is actually recording it electronically anyway. I mean, after all, someone has to be keeping tabs and we abandoned the abacus sometime back.

I sure would like to see the running total on the current vote though.
