"Pirro to Drop N.Y. Senate Bid, Sources Say"
ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Jeanine Pirro has decided to halt her struggling campaign for the Republican nomination to challenge Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton in 2006, two Republicans close to the situation said Wednesday.

She will run instead for state attorney general, the sources said.

The Republicans, who spoke to The Associated Press only on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to release the information, said an announcement from the high-profile Westchester County district attorney could come as early as Thursday.

There was no immediate comment from Pirro.

1. LOL, what "campaign"?

Nobody is beating Hillary, whether you like her or hate her. She'll win with 60+ percent of the vote.

7. Here We Go Again...Will Jeanine Jump Or Be Pushed
This story has been "turfing" around for a couple weeks. I guess she's not the cash station the New York Repugnicans thought she was...the "anti-Hillary" that would be the darling of Faux Noise and then the Post and onto the local media. She isn't turning into "Pothole Alice", but "Blackhole Betty". I'm not sure whose behind this, but it smells like a Morton Blackwell production.

This looks identical to the game being played in Florida to nudge "Jugs" Harris out of that race. Both races are in deep trouble and looks like there's internal splits on the state level that are starting to come to the surface. This kinda reminds me of the fun and games of the last repugnican Senate primary here in Illinois...the party was so divided it couldn't find one candidate to run and ended up with an "ethically challenged" game show host (Jack Ryan) who had to withdraw...then the wingnuts got their wish...they ran Alan Keyes.

I'd love to see Ed Cox be on the ticket next year. Imagine that...tying all the booosh regime scandals with the son-in-law of Watergate. Even the lamest Democratic strategist should be able to do something with this.

Merry Holidays...

8. The Repugs have been putting pressure on her for weeks to withdraw.
I guess they finally convinced her.
