I hope the Patriot Act is extended. Here's why:
I fear that if * refuses to allow for the Patriot Act to be extended, he will continue to lie saying that the Senate killed the act (it only killed the revised act that was unconstitutional) and then have another MIHOP/LIHOP and declare martial law.

Anyone else feel this way??

2. He'll try to use its demise as an excuse
to keep his illegal wiretaps going, that's for sure.

Not that he needs an excuse. He's gonna do what an hombre's gonna do, yanno? (snort, shuffle, nanny nanny boo boo)

3. Here I was figuring he'd have an attack a month or two before
the electioned, then blame the patriot act and stopping his illegal wiretaps.

4. I agree he'll do the illegal wiretaps no matter what - my fear is without
it (and I think he plans to kill it), he'll "allow" another 9/11 and use it as an excuse and then declare martial law.

5. I agree. The Dems have done their usual poor job of explaining to the
American people just what the vote is all about. My fear is that the Bushcos will themselves pull some kind of stunt to scare everyone into believing that they need to give up their Constitutional rights.

6. We sure could use an ad campaign explaining that if the PA isn't extended
it's because * chose not to.

8. with people questioning his illegal wire taps, him letting the PA expire
and another MIHOP/LIHOP is exactly what he needs to stay in power. :scared:

10. But I mean the establishment(s) need to be behind him
The mainstream media occassionally reports what is in the same neighborhood as some vague truth-like thing these days you know...and there are leaks, etc., etc. You need the institutional forces of power to buy into it, like they did on 9/11.
