Question for DU Oldbies (RW Attempting to Take Over Culture)
Two-three years ago, someone found a website and posted about it here. The site contained a blueprint for how conservatives / conservative Christians could assert their philosophies into becoming the dominant force in our culture. It was loaded with info, some of it in .pdf files, IIRC.

Basically it advocated taking over mainstream culture from the inside instead of screaming from the outside as they've been for several years. Among the items listed on the "to do" list was to join book clubs. Can't recall specifics of the rest, which is why I'm posting here.

Does anyone else remember this and can you help me find that link?

Between some things, like think tanks fostering Christian cinema, and the press release I just received for a "Gospel & Comedy" showcase ... you get the picture?

thanks.

It was a site that was owned by an organization that was, itself, pushing for the changes. I think it was some minor think tank.

They weren't "screamers" a la Phelps, Dobson (I don't think). It was much more geared towards an actual, workable (they believed) strategy for getting things accomplished.

7. No
Again, this was a site created by people in favor of a conservative takeover.

6. They are not now, nor have they ever been secretive about their "plan"
They are PROUD of their takeover attempts..

I found a site ages ago that listed detailed talking points, and ways to deflect opposing views, and lists of "sister" sites. It also had instructions on how to take over school boards and local offices..

The info is at the old DU, which I cannot access anymore..

But it's not really necessary because they are so transparent about it.:)They are yelling it from the rooftops:(

8. Hmmm
That might have been it. Hard to say.

The site that I'm looking for, what was most interesting about it was how very calm the writers were about their strategy, and that the strategy involved a long-term plan for getting conservatives involved with entertainment, humanities and culture (as opposed to government) to more quietly achieve things than they have been.

If you'll PM me later, I try to remember a way I found to look up posts on the old site.
