What do you think is the reason?

A. So we don't hear Saddam badmouth the US

B. So Saddam can't reveal the details of his past relationships with the US

by the way - does anybody know how * did in History and Civics classes when he was in school?

Seems to me he either had bad teachers or he just didn't get it.

He was a bag man for the BFEE and he was given chemical and biological weapons, including anthrax, by the United States. No evidence has surfaced yet but the oil-for-food "scandal" has the pawprints of the BFEE all over it.
