5. I hate to agree with you......
but I think you're right. I also think it works the other way around more often than not. The elderly can be just as vulnerable to this type of abuse. This economic squeeze is going to cause a lot of pain.

because I'm sure at least half of it is missing.

However, some family members can be toxic. Those are the ones you restrict to an Xmas card every year and nothing else.
