Spirituality and a road map
It was my last day in the office working for my company that has many Indian employees. I had a very fine discussion about spiritually with a Hindu friend before I left. I thought this was worth passing on.

He lives at point C. Our office is at point A. I live at point B. We come different ways to work and we can choose different roads but we will get there anyway. So it doesn't matter which religion (road) that we take, if our quest is to be spiritual we will get there. All religion is, is just a road, each one is a different road to spirituality.

We gave each other a hug and wished each other well on our roads.

1. sounds like a nice day was had by all. I agree. All the different
roads lead to the same house. Good luck this holiday.

3. Noted: the infinite difference between the "many roads" viewpoint...
and the "one true god" tyranny of the Abrahamic theologies. Lao Tzu is relevant here too:

The Tao that can be named
Is not the eternal Tao.

Thank you for posting your story; holiday blessings to you.

4. My first priest put it like this:
Enlightenment or salvation is the mountain top and the moutain has many paths to get there. Some of us choose the closest path and some of us walk around the base of the mountain for a while. And some of us go off looking for a better mountain!
