Larisa Alexandrovna - I Spy A Democrat?
Edited on Thu Dec-22-05 06:22 PM by paineinthearse
Perhaps one of the most obvious reasons for the Bush/Cheney NSA spy ring can be found in the extra-legal activities of their favorite Texas son.

In 2003, Tom Delay, the ex-exterminator turned money launderer, began using the Department of Homeland Security as his personal surveillance team. And who was the Ham spying on using our tax dollars and without any oversight whatsoever?

Turns out Hammy was tracking Texas Democrats who had left Texas to break quorum on the yet another questionable piece of legislation.

"White House spokesman Scott McClellan said he had not been aware of reports that the federal agency had been enlisted to find the lawmakers.”

THE federal agency that is responsible for our national security is used for domestic spying by a member of Congress to spy on state legislatures and the White House is not aware of this? Is there anything the White House is aware of?

much, much more....please read the entire article, it's BRILLIANT! (and has hyperlinks to related articles).

3. how could Scotty have not known?
It was all over the news that Delay used Homeland Security to try to find the Killer D's. That's some willful ignorance there, buddy, especially when considering who your mama is.

5. PITA, Total Info Awareness is now offshored and privatized in Bahamas
With Ben Bell III's Global Information Group, Ltd.

www.zmetro.com/archives/000901.php

The sorry thing is that they can't secure bank info when the Russian mafia types get to it, how they gonna secure info in the Bahamas ?

Sorry folks, the "profile" of the average American is now who Big Brother is looking for. Vacuum it all up and shake out what you're looking for.

6. Her final questions are really thought provoking.
"On a side note, given the DHS’ obsession with spying on college students and clothing shop owners (the shop is actually HERE now), is there any wonder that they failed to do their job during Katrina and Wilma? More importantly even, since every intelligence agency is fixated on anti-war groups, dissenting voices, and on anyone not in the 37 percentile that approve of this administration, just who is tracking the terrorists?

Anyone?"

It goes to the heart of how they've expropriated govenment from the service of the people to the service of their own power.

7. Great report -- a real kick to the pants of the BFEE.
Nixon spied on everybody who opposed him.

Bush, who basically is Nixon without a brain, isn't any different.

A stain on our nation for generations, they both are mass murdering, warmongering, treasonous crooks.

12. thanks.....I don't get it
After being in place for several months, it seems many, many DU'er don't frequent the "greatest" page. If a post is not on the front page of one of the big forums, they just don't read it. Too bad, many worthy posts get missed.

21. I've noticed it's not just Republicans who don't seem to read; it's
everyone in Wash DC. Remember when the Dems had interviews with the CIA agents, and they were all SO surprized that the agents had sent a letter to Bush. Hell, we had it on DU the same day it was sent to Bush, but not one of them Congress critters had even heard about it. They all just make me tired. If I know something and they don't, we are in a sad state of affairs.

18. It begs a cartoon. Or a children's book.
"Hammy the Hammer Takes a Trip up the River."

Maybe then the Repukes could figure it all out from the bright colors and the text comprised of one-to-two syllable words...

At any rate, putting Hammy in a cage would be a fine start to any novel.

23. I've got a little blog I'm starting "Groove on the Rubble"
and I wrote a satirical version of HOW Libby would describe a Cheney Love Affair: Called "The Tell No Tale Heart"..

Decided I was going to do some nonreality writing since we seem to have actually entered the twilight zone since 2000 :)

Remember, it's written in the STYLE of Libby.. and I haven't really even finished the blog yet, it's barely put together, it will be a LOT cooler when finished.. be writing stories from the view of an Insider in the White House, with LOTS of Breaking Stories :)
