Heard it on local news here in KC. Sorry can't find a link. Bond said it was okay for dubya to spy on Americans but leaking this secret info was a felony and should be punished!

WTF is WRONG with this logic?

I actually shook hands with the asswipe when he was running for governor in '78. He came to our campus (Mizzou) and stood at our memorial hall with a microphone and said how he'd protect the university budgets. This was roughly one week before election. The first thing he did after the election was to cut university budgets by 6%. And that was back before scotch-induced alzheimers had struck.

19. He was a (sort of) friend of my dad's
and my dad who was a life long Dem really liked him. So I have met him a bunch of times. Out of respect to my father, whom Bond did admire, I will be polite to him.

But I still think he's a skanky politician. Sorry, Dad.

9. If there is a crime
it would be the leakers, not who published it.

Plame reporters weren't threatened with jail for publishing but for being in contempt pf court after appeals said they had to testify.

Despite what bush says here it's questionable how this endangered our security. All that they revealed was that some searches/taps were done without warrants. What difference does that make unless if someone was arrested due to it they'd have reason to question legality.

This is more like whistle blower, leakers revealing a crime. Not that bush administration has offered whistle blowers legal protection they are due, but that's another story.

That's how we'll be able to recognize those who are complicit in the treasonous act of subverting the US Constitution. They will claim that anyone brave enough to inform the American people that the Constitution is under attack is a 'criminal'. Bush has already said so, Rush et al. These people never speak from the heart. They wait for the propaganda machine to send them the memo, then they all say the same thing.

It'll be fun figuring out just who is on board to 'destroy our freedoms'. I'll be making a list and checking who is using the 'it was a criminal act to tell the truth' talking point.

I think they influenced the election by NOT reporting what they knew. They were also a big part of acting as stenographer for Bush to get us into Iraq. A lot of death and destruction can be laid right at their door.It has always been a ritual of mine for years to buy and read the NYT on Sunday. I don't think I can in good conscious buy or support them any longer. I feel bad because they have one of the greatest group of writers asembled anywhere.

It's pretty hard to make the far right and the far left and everyone in between hate you at the same time. Their top management needs to step down en mass. That is the ONLY thing that could save the NYT.

its hard for others not living in kc to write ltte since we did not hear what he said and whats being reported there..but please write a ltte and get your friends and dnc to do so!!seems kit needs a lesson in U.S. CONSITUTION!!

Let's start with conspiring to alter the results of a federal election. The NYT supposedly had this in October last year. Folks, you can't diebold your way out of a 30-point deficit, and if this would have dropped in the days before the election, the final tally would have been 80-20 Kerry. Or worse.

We've also got little piddly shit like conspiring to conceal malfeasance by a federal officer. But the election theft is the big one.

44. Bond is a drunk... plain and simple. Years ago when he was
governor of Missouri I worked for the University of Missouri. He damn near put us out of business financially. He hates state funding to any higher institution of learning and public education in general. Several years during his eight years university employees did not receive pay raises. Stingy stinkin Repuke. He is the reason I went into the private sector and business for myself. Never regretted it for a second. The infamous drunken stories about "Kit" in Jeff City abound. The guy is a bad friggin actor.
