Being interviewed on The Situation Room just now: Says he was disappointed he couldn't publish column on Plame investigation because investigation turned out to not be over.

On Plame column:
"It was just a THROWAWAY line."

"It wasn't a big scoop, you know."

"Her name was well-known around town."

On Raleigh N&O article saying President knows: "It was a stupid thing for me to say."
