And what ABOUT the telecommunication Co.s that played along in Spygate?
Edited on Sat Dec-24-05 08:04 AM by Phoebe Loosinhouse
Do they have culpability? Did they violate the law as well? Were they threatened or co-erced by Cheney or Chertoff or someone else? I can't wait to hear their side of all this.

4. They did it as a favor for their boy bush**. I mean, a strong bush** admin
benefits them in innumberable ways, from legislation in thier behalf, to no-bid government contracts, to this horrendously unfair tax legislation that repukes love to pass for the wealthy and corporations. In fact, I doubt that they had any problems convincing them to oblige.

8. I don't think they have much choice.
Sort of like the librarians who hate the idea that the Feds can demand your activity records from them and they're not allowed to tell you it happened.

I still think we're back to "looking for a commie under everyone's bed" instead this time it's a terrorist!

9. I really don't know either way, which is why I asked the question
But this is just another on a long list of questions to be answered.

You made a good analogy with the fifties communism thing. Saw Good Night and Good Luck and of course it was all so incredibly relevant to today.

11. I think AT&T was one of them. Boycott them!
Start a nationwide boycott. Make them pay.
