How much did the other newspapers/media know, and when did they know it?

Are we being a little naive here to think that the NYTs & MSNBC are the only newspapers/media who received a call from Bush or his operatives to interfere with information that might prove damaging to the White House?

Think back prior to the 2004 presidential elections. Every day was a pleasant surprise when a new, major paper endorsed John Kerry. Was this their one way of trying to tell us that they knew more than what they were telling us?

We already know that Bush was paying pundits and now we know that he was pushing his weight around the NYTs and MSNBC. I want to know how one executive branch could do this much meddling in the journalist world in a free country, without us getting wind of it before now.

1. I wonder also...communications between
countries and journalists all over the world.Remember that China came out for Kerry as well....I am disturbed at the use of the word "DATA" that MSM is using, it's wrong....its "personal communications" that were being "mined".

2. I think we're going to be shocked when we realize how much

they were mining, and I think you're right. "Data" will cover it better than "personal communications."

I'm of the opinion that the list of people they were keeping an eye on will be vast. Maybe so vast that I will feel left out if I'm not on it.

And I won't be surprised to find out that their foot soldiers are not just from career agencies. Remember how they said they were teaching truckers and even regular service people to keep an eye open? Think about your termite inspectors and cable men who come inside your home to visit. If you have white supremacist types in FoxNews who are willing to follow any Repub agenda, why can't you find them somewhere else too?

Okay, I admit that last paragraph was a bit tin-foil hat.
