It's Christmas Eve
To all my DU friends.....have a great holiday and best wishes for 2006.
I'm taking a break from the politics this Christmas and spending some quality time with my family.

Perhaps a small retreat from the ever present bad news of Iraq, George's malfeasance and international treachery will help me to better focus next week.

Christmas to me is time to spend with family and friends. I will not allow George to stain it with his war. Rest assured - my rantings will continue.....just not over the holidays.

My thoughts are ever with you. Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukah my friends.

2006 is just around the corner and there will be much to be done. I say this in the most sober way-in order for American democracy to prevail, Bush must be ousted, impeached, tried as a criminal and sent to prison. A tall order yes? The urgency can not be overstated. As a canuck, I lean towards the democrats in American politics.....but I don't even care who will prevail in the upcoming elections as long as Bush is held to account for his crimes. Republicans must open their eyes and recognize the hooligan in office right now has no integrity and no respect for the law and justice. The office of President deserves respect....but the man that sits in that office has long since overstayed his welcome.

Up here in Canada, it has become almost a national pastime to critisize Bush and America. Some is justified and some is not. I will restate - that anti-americanism in Canada has not really coalesced....but a visceral intense mistrust and dislike for Bush is ever present and growing fast and hard. I suspect that allot of other nations populace's feel the same way.

Take care, be safe, and give your family a hug.....just because you can!

5. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!
Put politics aside for a few hours and enjoy

the warmth of a wood-burning fire
the company of friends
the company of the family

look out the window and absorb the wonders of the fresh, new-fallen snow.

marvel at the rabbit or squirrel tracks through the snow and wonder how they survive winter.

rub your fingers together and realize that you're feeling LIFE.

Take it all in
enjoy it all

These are the good ol' days!
