It's worse than we thought: wishing "Merry Christmas" is NOT ALLOWED
Avi Beker, an Israeli university professor, frequent Ha'aretz op-ed writer, and in this case guest columnist (subbing for Shmuel Rosner, Chief US Correspondent), writes:

Neither should the {Congressional} resolution be dismissed as a "meaningless joke," because it reflects the frustration of many Christians in America over the arrogance and intimidating attitude of some liberal groups, who do not allow them to wish each other "Merry Christmas" in public.

"Do not allow"??? Some people have no shame at all.

2. Oh - the Target thing? Lie.
I was at Target yesterday and the clerk wished me a Merry Christmas.

The Faux News watchers are idiots.

4. So far this year while out Christmas shopping
I've been wished Merry Christmas numerous times, as well as Happy New Year, Happy Holidays, Have a Nice Day, and Have a Good One:)

The so-called "War on Christmas" is an annoyance and a distraction. Perhaps the angry Christians who insist on being greeted a certain way could remember the meaning of the holiday and spread some good cheer instead of spite.

3. Yes, I said it in WalMart this morning
and was shot at.

sarcasm off

You know, I don't care for political correctness. But as bad as PC can get, oversensitivity to PC (as in I'm not 'allowed' to say Merry Christmas) is just as bad.

MERRY CHRISTMAS to all
and to all a good night!

8. Can anyone find any instance in history...
of a liberal group, say the ACLU, actually forcing a company to drop Merry Christmas? I know about schools, but that is because they are publically funded, but private corporations don't have the same restrictions. They can be as religious as they want, otherwise Falwell etc would be OUT of business.

So in reality the "War on Christmas" isn't being driven by Liberal political correctness, but by Conservative corporate public relations. It is the corporations who don't want to risk losing a single dollar in sales by offending someone who have declared "Merry Christmas" off limits. Typical that the Corporate Religions should be COVERING for them.

10. You know...they keep saying this crap
but then no one ever produces any evidence of them being harassed for saying "Merry Christmas."

Moreover, I resent someone telling ME what "many christians" are frustrated about - the only thing that little group is frustrated about is that we aren't all forced to live under their control.
