norton internet sec blocks DU as "sex education/advanced"
heads up folks, I find that norton internet security blocks parts of DU under the category "sex education/advanced". There's an option on the block page to go to norton/symantec and indicate how you think it should be categorized, and whether it should be listed for blocking at all.

I marked it as 'news/info' and indicated that it shouldn't be listed at all.

If you run norton internet security, consider enabling it, blocking "sex ed/advanced", and then heading for the symantec page to indicate how they should re-rate it.

DU staff, pls take note, this is BS.

The Communications Decency Act got Exon'd in 1997, we shouldn't have to put up with this kind of shit (Exon word). I know other rating services pull the same kind of shit with any website which is non-conservative/not properly Connected, but here's an example we have in hand we can do something about.

3. It's because of that MSNBC ad that everyone was making fun of
It probably set off alarms on firewalls at businesses around the country. It's also possible that some schmuck from FReeperville reported it as an adult site and used the ad as justification...

7. Heck, when ours is on the "teen" setting or whatever, my swimmer daughter
can't visit the Speedo website to check out their competitive swimwear and other gear.
Sheesh.
