Neighbor w/Bush '04 Sticker Sent us a X-Mas Card saying "Peace on Earth"
For some reason, this infuriates me more than usual and I want to say something nasty to them. My wife thinks I'm being oversensitive. Anyone else have an opinion?

1. W can't even remain friends with Mexico.
He operates in a complete bubble. Daily he increases the ill will toward Americans.

4. That would really tick me off too!
I might say something to the person .. like .. "Why did you send me a card like that when you support this corrupt administration and its illegal invasion?"

6. I certainly understand why this pisses you off.
And while I do NOT think you are being "oversensitive",
(I would simply describe you as acting like you are AWAKE)
I think it would probably be best if you resist
that temptation to get nasty with them.

Getting nasty only feeds the erroneous preconceptions
which are the basis of their insanity,
and makes them more certain that their
myopic, fear-based worldview is correct.

7. At Crawford, I had this guy try to explain it to me...
Dude was with this lady who looked just like Man coulter. He explained that there will be no peace until the second coming of Jesus.

F***ing copout. Dude wouldn't recognize Jesus if he appeared with His mother in the fog on the Coulters' bathroom mirror. Not to say I would recognize Jesus on earth, but at least I make some attempt to not ignore His having been on earth once.

10. What does "peace on earth" mean to the dead civilians in Iraq?
Not a damn thing. The dead are beyond caring, but that wasn't the case when they were still alive.

Easy for me to say, but since you're asking.

12. You may have misread the card.
Presumably, it says, "Piss on Earth."

Those fancy fonts are tricky sometimes.

13. Conservatives lack any sense of irony.
Case in point- at a restaraunt yesterday we were standing outside waiting for a table. A guy walks out and goes to his van which has a Pro-Life license plate on the front, gets out a pack of cigarettes and proceeds to stand next to extremely obviously pregnant me, and smoke his nasty cigarette until I coughed and moved away.

No sense of irony at all.

15. Why not put a bumper sticker on his car?
I would say just punch him in his nose, but that would probably just solidify his opinion of "lefties" and land you in jail. Just get ahold of a nice little "liberal" bumper sticker, and slap it over the Bush'04 sticker. How about a nice "IMPEACH BUSH" sticker?
