Can You Imagine???
If Nixon had a 9/11 moment??

Can you imagine Nixon with a F*cks News at his disposal??

Can you imagine Nixon with Rush, O'Reily, Insanity, and the hundreds of other "cookie cutter local radio conservatives"???

Can you imagine Nixon with the Washington Time??

Can you imagine Nixon with Freaker Republic???

I think that whole Watergate "thingy" would have turned out completely differently. After all, little Chrissy Matthews would be telling us all how Watergate was just a "political witch-hunt", and about how "manly ole' tricky Dick looked" clearing brush at his Santa Monica ranch.

I posted a little while back about how the Republicans are reliving the "Glory Days" of Watergate. They want to refight the Nixon embarrassment. These people are perfectly fine with a president using the NSA, FBI, and CIA to spy on Americans. They are perfectly fine with another round of "the House Committee on Un-American Activities" hearings. They actually wonder what all the fuss is about. I mean in their minds, only perverts are worried about being snooped on. What's the big deal. "9/11 changed everything and all that".

I strongly believe that, if this pResident is not impeached, OUR COUNTRY IS DEAD.

1. Why impeachment?
Is it just the most visible sign of this nation rejecting the President? Or do you think he will destroy the country if not impeached (before stepping down in 2009)?

If it's the former, I would suggest there are other ways for the country to reject him without impeachment.

3. I agree with you.
Which is where my rather obtuse questions I ask in post #2 are leading to.

4. Albert Speer said if the Nazis had TV there would have been no stopping
them.

Do you believe President Bush's actions justify impeachment?

Yes, between the secret spying, the deceptions leading to war and more, there is plenty to justify putting him on trial.

No, like any president, he has made a few missteps, but nothing approaching "high crimes and misdemeanors."

No, the man has done absolutely nothing wrong. Impeachment would just be a political lynching.

I don't know.
MSNBC Asks the "Impeachment" Question in a POLL finally
By Critter

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10562904

as of this posting there is an 88% YES rate. Oh this is one question that CNN and FOX sooooo don't want to ask. MSNBC may be sending a signal here by trying to be the first to actually ask it.

==Here's what you can do:

1) Write Zogby (marketing@zogby.com) to thank them for asking about impeachment in June, and encourage them to keep asking the question.

2) Write all the other major pollsters and ask them why they haven't asked voters about impeaching Bush. (If your browser won't let you highlight these addresses, use the printer-friendly version.)

Here is a form letter you can personalize:

On November 4, a Zogby poll found 53% of Americans said "if it is found that President Bush did not tell the truth about his reasons for going to war with Iraq, Congress should hold him accountable through impeachment."

http://www.democrats.com/impeachpac-announced
Why haven't you asked Americans whether they believe Bush should be impeached for lying about Iraq?

Even on the narrow question of the CIA leak scandal, 86% of Americans say it has great or some importance - compared to only 62% who felt that way about Monica Lewinsky.
http://www.democrats.com/node/6696

Yet when the Lewinsky scandal broke in 1998, nearly every pollster asked about impeachment - even though only 26% of Americans supported it!
http://democrats.com/clinton-impeachment-polls

Why are you going easy on George Bush for lying about war, when you raked Bill Clinton over the coals for lying about sex?

3. These MSM reporters cover political polls. Ask them why they have not covered the AfterDowningStreet impeachment polls.

4. These MSM reporters have covered the AfterDowningStreet impeachment polls and deserve a thank-you note.

2. Simple question: Why do you think that?
"DEAD" that is. Maybe you better start off by defining "DEAD".

6. What I mean
is, if after all this, we do not hold this man accountable, then we the people of America have said the following: "idealogy trumps freedom", "one man is above the law", "the pResident must be able to usurp the Constitution and all other branches of government to keep us safe", and that "we are so afraid, that we are willing to give up that which has made us great".

This man simply must be held accountable, or no one ever will be. All it will take to keep the American people under the thumb of their government is a terrible attack and fear.

I'm not one of those that thinks * had 9/11 done on purpose. But, if we know anything, it is that politicians are quick studies. I fear that in the future, we may have leaders that look at 9/11 as *'s majestic moment, and may be tempted to have, or cause their own "majestic moment".

Want tax cuts passed - have a couple of suicide bombings
Want to spy on Americans - have a couple of anthrax mailings
Want to start a war - detonate a dirty bomb in Chicago
Want to privatize Social Security - have a cyanide attack on the subway
Want to ensure you and your party stay in power - bomb a school

All it would take is one more terrorist attack on this country, and we'll have martial law declared.

If we don't hold this man accountable, then we are telling all future politicians that everything is fair game in the name of National Security.

That's pretty scary, no matter who is in charge.

5. Most Important Impeachment Petition/Letter by Rep. Conyers EVER!!
Congressman Conyers has used the Impeach-Word several times in his proposed Impeachment Inquiry and has several other members of the House of Representatives as co-sponsors but needs more and has asked for our help in signing his letter to Bush and in writing to our Congresscritters to request they support him in investigating the Bush Regime's massive illegal activities harming the American people. Please add your signature here:

Dear Mr. President:

We are brave, proud, patriotic citizens of the United States. We love our country and are writing to express our profound disappointment with you and your administration for your conduct surrounding the Iraq War, the collection and use of intelligence, and your disrespect for the laws of
this great nation...."
