Condi's Approval Rating
Is anyone else appalled to see that Condi's approval rating is over 60%????

I've posted earlier about what a nightmare a Jeb B presidency would be and this woman might be marginally better, but RobotRice is still in the "please let me wake up from this bad dream" category.

1. Not If She Runs
Her mistakes will be illuminated for all to see. Her background and her dealings with the Middle East and missteps with the Kazak oil field deals will be revealed. If she tries to run for dog catcher, she's toast.

3. IF Condi got the nomination...and what a sickening "IF" that is...
...we need to immediately stop ALL of the "We can't sink to Karl Rove's level" crap.

I'm not saying that the only way to DEFEAT Rove is to BECOME Rove. I'm not saying that at ALL.

But unless the Democrats can find a way to PREVENT Rove from DEFINING the rules of the game, then the 2008 election will be ROVE'S game on ROVE'S PLAYING FIELD.

That means Diebold, Evangelical Christians, and Swift Boat Motherf**kers, all aimed at whatever candidate put in the ring.

We need a BETTER game, a STRONGER game, a game that will KNEECAP Rove. We haven't HAD that game in the last two elections.

It's not about Condi. It's about Karl Rove. And unless there's a lightning bolt out there with Karl Rove's name on it, he'll polish any GOP turd that he wants and start digging into his bag of dirty tricks.

11. We Agree On All Points
Look, i'll start it. There are some in academic circles who have read and have strongly questioned the originality of her thesis in Soviet studies. That rumor's been out there for years. As a business woman, presidential advisor, and a black woman to boot, any questions as to her integrity have been pretty much out of bounds. But, if she runs for something, all's fair.

2. She's not the Prez or VP
only political junkies like us pay attention to her mistakes. Also, I think it's a fear of saying your don't like someone who happens to be black and a woman.

6. I'll bet if you showed those same people
a picture of Condi, Ray Charles and Whitney Houston and asked them to pick which one was secretary of state there's only a one in three chance they'd pick the right photo.

It's appalling - where did you see that?

7. Both she and Jeb are a nightmare from Hell unless we get
our elections reformed to be honest and transparent, then they wouldn't stand a chance, either of them. Election reform is needed first though and time is running out.

13. Agreed ... DIEBOLD, etc are ...
more important than who the candidates are. With "voting" in the hands of the repug machine, it really doesn't matter who the candidate is ... their side will always find a way to win. At Christmas Dinner with friends ... we decided we'd rather see Americans going to the "blue finger" like Iraq than to have another election like the most recent two. I do like the idea of being able to give the repugs "the finger" in a big way!

8. If she is Queen Liar, imo, why should I believe right wing polls unless
Edited on Tue Dec-27-05 01:28 PM by higher class
the polling companies are proven to be non-partisan and uncorrupted (politically, financially, or with favors.)

If the polling comes from Newsweek, Time, Wash Times, Wash Post, NYC, WSJ, USA Today, any othe the similar papers/mags, any of the cable or networks companies ,or anyone who works by contract of the right wing, I can't believe it. The RNC is POSITIONING her for office - she, the worst liar this country has ever produced.

9. She flies under the radar
all the other crap they've been exposed for has provided her a lot of cover recently. Alone and by herself she can't stand the light of day.

10. That's because nobody really cares about her.
I mean, those that actually know who she is.

I bet you 25%+ have no clue who Condoleezza Rice is.

14. I agree. If the GOP does dare to
run her for president, the GOP rednecks will be in a fix. Vote for a woman? Vote for a black woman?
Oh, the horror.
It's safe to say you support Condi right now. Because she's a figurehead. A symbol. She's just Bush's favorite cheerleader.
But run her for office?
Ouch.
They'll be some puckered up butts in the GOP if that happens.

15. Friends in academia ...
even some of my Democratic friends (sad to say) seem to think more highly of this woman because of her academic background. And they seem to think that she is just boot-licking to keep her bosses happy ... would be "another person" if in charge. I don't think so!! And would we really want a boot-licker in office, no matter what she silently believes in? I mean, wouldn't that be a bit like electing Monica Lewinsky to the job?
