2. As sure as eggs is eggs
The reason Emperor Chimptard didn't want to bother with the FISA court is that the taps had nothing to do with "terrism" or national security. Like Nixon, he wanted to wiretap those on his enemies list. The FISA court would have told him to go pound sand, so why not just cut them out of the picture altogether?

3. Fitzgerald IS being bugged. Kerry was bugged too. Reid, the DNC, etc.
And as you suggest, various media people are being bugged too.

All the info that cant be used for strategy is used for black-mailing.

6. REPUBLICANS are being bugged as well. For blackmail purposes.
It's a sure way to keep any would-be GOP mavericks or dissenters in line.

14. Keep your enemies close, but your friends closer? Sound
paranoid enough for this Administration.

16. Poppy Bush blackmailed other GOPs for Nixon WH - this is SOP
for that group.

I doubt BushInc woke up one day in the 90s and decided to stop blackmailing members of their own party.

7. Maybe this is what Fitzgerald bumped in to.
On one hand, maybe he is being harassed.

On the other, maybe he bumped in to the spying and is dumbfounded by the number of laws being broken and the fact that this implicates so many members of the Administration.

10. Absotively & Posilutely!
I agree with all of the posts above. It's Watergate 2005: Why break into an office when you have modern technology to do the 'breaking' for you?

I try not to be too optimistic these days, and I think it's going to take time, but I honestly believe that THIS is the thing that will bring down this Administration ...

17. Nixon's office break in was an amateur operation compared to
Bush's mass snooping.

12. We'll be shocked
if we ever learn the degree of who all is being bugged. Most people raising any threat to those fighting to hold power are probably being bugged, either continually or sporatically, depending on their "threat level". I'm sure most of us have been bugged at one point or another.

happened, because all the mediawhores were attacking Wilson as a liar then. Too bad Fitzgerald couldn't point out the REAL liars at that time.
