Oklahomans check in... Grass fires

I remember the prarie grass fires when I was a kid. We had a few bad years, and a few farms were lost. I didn't realize it's been so dry this year, up in OR we are drowning.

How did they start, do they know?

on edit - theory is sparks from a power line during high winds.

luckily, at least from what I see on TeeVee, people are getting out of the way pretty well. It's the houses that they are losing. :(

4. Except for the Wal-Mart employees ...

They've apparently been sent outside to spray the grounds with water. I don't know if they were actually sent there or not, but there's a big group of them milling about near where the fire is approaching the building.

Bizarre.

5. Lots of them ...

Two main ones I've heard about are near Seminole and on the western side of OKC, near Mustang.
