India ready for disarmament if US, Russia destroy their nuclear warheads
http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/articleshow/1349163.cms

BHUBANESWAR: President APJ Abdul Kalam on Tuesday said that India was prepared for nuclear disarmament provided some 20,000 nuclear warheads lying with the US and Russia are dismantled. Credited with developing scores of missiles for the country’s defence, Kalam harped on the importance of complete nuclear free world and sustainable peace.

“From the days of late Pandit Nehru, India has been championing the cause of nuclear disarmament. We want to live in the nuclear weapon free world,” Kalam said while inaugurating the 3rd National Children’s Science Congress, 2005, at the sprawling KIIT Deemed University here.

The President hinted that water could be the reasons for future wars. “Most of the rivers are international. Water is getting scarce. In India, when Brahmaputra swells, Assam gets flooded. Ganga floods north Bihar. In contrast several parts of central and southern India are drought-prone. The problem is water management. A task force is looking into various aspects of linking rivers,” he remarked.

1. HAHA Good for India! That rocks!
I can't stand how the US can talk about other countries having nuclear weapons programs when we've got this ginormous stockpile.

Kalam's right about the water, IMO. Nothing happens without it.

3. ah how wonderful it would be
with the monsters in the white house who have created a whole new arms race. it makes me sick and so sad, I constantly have that nauseated feeling like the 80's but worse :nuke:

so much of the world is enlightened, maybe with pressure form other nations and from within things can change.
