Bush/GOP Have No Incentive To Keep America Safe
They use terror and fear to continually amass more power for themselves.

Every attack will give them yet another opportunity to erode our Civil Liberites.

Why would they want to control terrorism when they can use it for their own profit?

1. True.
They need to be able to say something like, "See we told you so. Those Democrats stopped us from doing what was needed and the result is this attack upon . . . . "

When faced with "what the Dems did" compared to "what the Reps didn't do" John and Jane Doe will side with the Republicans, because they are the ones in power and, ergo, more likely to "save" us.

Look for some Terrorism to occur before '06 mid-term elections.

2. Remember when they wanted to create a terrorism stock market?
They actually thought it would be a good idea to have a terrorist stock market, where you could buy "shares" in the probabilities of various events happening. I'll take 100 shares of a suicide bomber at a tourist hotel in Cairo, please.

Thankfully that one never got off the ground - these guys have gonads the size of grapefruits.

3. No incentive and no record of doing so either.
They are the only terrorists I fear.

5. al Qaeda is a brand name they invented for the purpose
of marketing fear

they need to "fight them over there" because they couldn't keep MIHOPing over here and getting away with it

by having chaos daily in Iraq that they can easily convince their idiot and insane followers is "terrists," they can have their cake and eat it too.

if there is more terror here, so much the better for them, as long as they can stay in front of it and package the spin

chaos is money

fear is power
