5. They booed her at her last press conference.
She confiscated some materials before they could go in the room. I need to find that and repost.

8. I lived there in the Eighties.
Unless it has drastically changed, from the presidential/gubernatorial vote, I doubt it); the town is not really liberal.. The City Commission is more than likely libertarian.
Yes, Katherine Harris represents that area.Lots of seniors there. Maybe they got updity about the doghnut hole in Bush's drug prescription plan? The Republicans there, which is like 60% are conservative, but no oil wells in their back yard, please. So the right wingers want a pristine environment.

9. Here is the article with a great pic! Dear Kate got booed.
http://www.commondreams.org/headlines03/0808-10.htm

SNIP..."Harris told attendees she wanted all questions asked first before she answered.
The lines at the microphones were long.
The boos were loud.
"We want our answers now," a man in the back of the room shouted.

She said, "Doing it this way will allow more people to speak."
Harris' logic didn't sit well with the standing-room-only crowd.
The crowd's mood already was testy before the meeting began. Security guards and Harris' staff confiscated any written material people tried to bring into the hall..."

10. Some LTTEs about her getting booed. Most against her.
Letters to Bradenton Herald about Katherine.

"The real question is not from which planet Katherine Harris arrived for her Bradenton town hall meeting Thursday, but rather, in which country she thought she landed. The bizarre agenda for the meeting was exceeded by Harris' aides who, according to the Herald, "confiscated any written material people tried to bring into the hall" but who turned around and distributed Harris' political tracts to the same audience. And all this in the name of "ethics laws," which is a startling claim in light of the ethically challenged political career of Harris....."

From a friend there, I think there is a whole lot of anger now. Maybe liked her, but anger now.

Huntington refuses to acknowledge the Patriot Act. AND a lot more LTE in my local newspaper are against the current regime. Seems to me people are awakening from their coma.
