Military Christians are starting to figure Bush out
Edited on Thu Oct-23-03 09:36 AM by Skinner
Chinks in the armor take time, but they're coming.

Morale ‘doesn’t exist’

I’m the wife of a soldier currently stationed overseas. His camp is in Kuwait, but they run missions all through Iraq. I want to thank Stars and Stripes for finally providing a realistic view of the condition of our soldiers with its recent troop morale series.

I talk with my husband and others in his unit, and for them morale doesn’t exist anymore, especially when they are mistreated by their own military for being in the National Guard rather than the 1st Army. But along with everyone else, their stay overseas got extended.

They’ve been gone from home since February and have been over there since April. They’ll be there until April, 2004. But of course the extension could go further. And that upsets me, because they’re guardsmen and they live civilian lives. A full year (or possibly longer) in another country is too long for any guardsman. The rotation idea was good. I don’t know why it stopped, but that would have been a great thing for everyone, 1st Army and guardsmen.

Morale was something they once had. Proper training was something they never had. They don’t even have unity within their own unit. These aren’t guys who have gotten in trouble. These are men doing their jobs as ordered.

1. President Bush is a Christian --- that's pee-my-pants-funny
I may call myself a hip, soulful black man, but when you see my white ass you'll discover that saying you're something and actually BEING something are two different things. :D

2. Ah, just like the peasants and the Czars in Russia

"President Bush is a Christian, as are my husband and I. I’ve wondered if the president really knows what’s going on there and if he’s being told the whole story. I guess I was right. He isn’t."

The Russian peasants, right up to the Revolution, could never believe that the Czar was aware of their plight. He was a mis-informed, misguided father figure.

I can understand that of 19th century Russian peasants, but to see that sentiment in 21st Century Americans is both alarming and sickening.

3. Poor Amy
You seem to be under the mistaken impression that if he knew the truth, he would slam his fist down and demand changes. Honey, the president and his crew created what's going on there. As long as the sweet crude is flowing, and their pockets are swollen, they don't care about "what's going on there."

4. Dear Amy - "Slimy Shrub is the one who sent your
husband there - Christian or no Christian. Don't you think if he doesn't know, he should know. And what does being a Christian have to do with it? Nothing, my dear! I hear people saying all the time "he's doing the best he can" (president). Well, got news for you - it's not good enough.

YOU may be a Christian,
but I have to go with the crowd that states that Bush* is NOT.
I mean, look at this:

Affolder and three other firefighters and two Pentagon police officers were escorted into the Roosevelt Room to meet President George Bush before the ceremony.
"The president came in and talked to everyone and thanked us all," Affolder said. "HE TOLD US WHY WE WERE THERE. I was shocked that I was chosen to go and meet him.
It was actually kind of funny. HE WAS MAKING JOKES WHILE WE WERE IN THERE. He was taller than he seemed on TV."
The president also wanted to speak with the four fire fighters after the event in the Oval Office.
"He told us that we were all doing a good job," Affolder said. "He talked about New York and meeting the rescue guys up there. He helped us to relax a little just the way he was talking to us."
Affolder mentioned to the president he was from Fort Myer and that they cover him when he flies into the Pentagon and that they had three guys at the building when the plane hit.

HE WAS MAKING JOKES WHILE WE WERE IN THERE.
So who else was making jokes around 8 PM on September 11?
What would Jesus do at a time like that?
Would He have snuggled in for the night before two more hours were up?
What the hell kind of sheperd do you people think you have?

Sometimes I come down really hard on Christians because they INSIST on clinging to murderers such as this man.
Just remember, Satan is going to hell.
Satan is NOT going to be forgiven.
Even GOD is not THAT liberal.
And it is A-OK to dump Bush.
AMEN.

PS.
If the twit doesn't know what is going on,
it is precisely because
HE DOES NOT WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON.
In his case, ignorance is no excuse.
I know several retarded adults who have figured out what is going on, why it is bad and even how to stop it.
And Bush just cut their funding. I guess they were too smart for him and his pretzels.

9. Dear Amy.
Bush does know. He is fully aware of the hell your husband is involved in, after all, we went to war for the express purpose of securing oil.
Bush lied, now americans, like your husband, are dying.

And Amy, Bush is not a Christian.

10. Bush* was in the National Guard ~ He knows the National Guard
and he says the National does not have it bad. Hell they don't even require one to show up for the last year so obviously this woman does not know what she is talking about.

I think I will write her a letter and tell her the truth. Shrub is no Christian and he knows exactly what is going on. Those are the kind who will vote for him. They have been swayed. She lives in the next county and she will be my project for the week.
