Best deadpan EVER!
So I'm sittin' in my Poli Sci 296 (Arab-Israeli Conflict) class this afternoon, along with 5 of my fellow UConn Dems, and the funnist thing happened...the subject was the Camp David Summitt in 1979:

Student: Did the US fear any contradictions in negociating with Egypt cosidering thier government?

Professor: ...what do you mean?

Student: Well, they were anti-Democrazy, hadn't made any moves to try and work for democracy...

Professor: Well, I think the US didn't really have any issue with it. They had shown that they could work both with democracies and with cruel dictators-

Fellow UC Dem: Hell, we installed half of them.

The class erupts in laughter.

I have that class here at the University of Arizona. One day I brought up a paper I read written by Richard Perle, Douglas Feith and David Wurmser which prompted this story.

My Professor David Dunford read an article in which Richard Perle said that State Department Ambassadors were about as agressive as hummingbirds regarding potential military conflicts and making Iraq et al. atone for their insolence. David had been an ambassador for 30 years -including Oman- and was the head advisor in charge of the foreign ministry under Garner and Bremer after the recent war in Iraq. Among his other pursuits is bird watching and the hummingbird is actually an aggessive little fella. So he sent a letter to the paper about how Perle might want to watch out for hummingbirds because they are among the most aggressive animals in the world and they printed it, haha. I wish I could remember the story a little better, it was hilarious when he told it.
