Donated to Kucinich today
I disagree with him on a lot of issues and won't be voting for him, but I couldn't help but donate money to a group of Kucinich supporters that were on campus today. It's cold and windy out, but they braved the elements and were really enthusiastic about supporting him. And as I said, I won't be voting for him, but I support all of our candidates, and I've always admired his energy and passion.

5. he is the only one that is truly liberal running for president
the rest running are establishment "nothing will change much" centrists.

7. Do you honestly believe...
that Kucinich has a chance of getting the nomination? He seems to be one of the quietest of the candidates.

19. He's not that quiet.
The press just doesn't cover him much. We hope that will change.

8. I got you
I donated, too, because while I support someone else, I want K and his supporters to keep getting their message out.

9. his message
is all that he has. no money...most people too afraid he is unelectable, yet think he rocks. I support and volunteer for Dennis K. because, well I know he won't get the nomination, BUT, he raises issues that no one else does, and he needs help getting that message out.

11. Hes not quiet at all
Youre right about Money, just reinforces what a certain man once told me, "its all about green" and he was right sadly really. Just such a pity really.

12. Money wasted....
...that could have gone to a candidate with a real chance of winning, like Dean or Clark. Why piss money away? Are the stakes not high enough for you?

14. The stakes are so high that we CANNOT afford NOT
TO CONTRIBUTE TO dk.

He is pushing ALL the candidates to better Democratic solutions of our nation's problems. Do you really think Gephart would have come up with a medical plan if DK had not pushed his single-payer plan that is so popular? Do you think that any of the candidates would have proposed more of a role for the UN in Iraq if Dennis had not said "UN IN, and in charge, US out!!"?

If we neglect our Democratic base and go center right like many of the candidates started out, we are DOOMED.

kEEP dk IN THE RACE, SEND $$!!

16. Puh-leaze...
"If we neglect our Democratic base and go center right like many of the candidates started out, we are DOOMED."

Someone might have said the same thing in 1992. And along came a centrist Dem named Bill Clinton -- not a starry-eyed pacifist -- who was handily elected (and re-elected in a landslide) and who ushered in one of the greatest periods of peace and prosperity in American history. Heaven help us if we go DLC again! We might actually win!

18. Thanks for the encouragement
I got a DK bumper sticker in the mail today, and was debating whether to send another donation or not. You've given me the encouragement I need to donate generously.

I'm hoping for DK to bring a few surprises to the Dean/Clark army in a short time, and I want to see the reaction of people like you then.

20. Well I can't speak for the original poster, but
I donate to Dennis because that's who I'm going to vote for. I don't support Dean or Clark, and am not giving them a primary vote. Giving money to someone I don't want to vote for would be pissing it away.
