2. Not me, but my best friend...
was cajoled into supporting Alphonse DeMato years ago. Now Mr. DeMato is living with his "partner" in Nantucket w/ their adopted child. Typical repug hyprocrisy!

3. Last time I went to church, the preacher gave a "VOTE GOP" sermon.
Edited on Thu Oct-23-03 11:33 PM by Cat Atomic
That was 20 years ago, and I was 11 years old. My family left in a huff and I haven't been in a church ever since.

I could say it's because of politics, because I honestly do hate it when politics mixes with religion. But the fact of the matter is that I just think church is boring.

5. I haven't worked, for money anyway, in a long time,
but all my employers tried to brainwash me and my fellow workers to vote Republican. What was strange is nobody listened then. I don't know what changed.

7. do I misunderstand
or are you saying that you voted republican on your own... and that your 401K is doing outstanding.

Lucky you - while the rise in mine look good - in actuality they have just regained what they had lost in the past two years - for a very minimal (any) growth across the past two years. Yours are doing great? Kudos to you.

10. No
I'm blessed to work in a pocket of serious Democracy. I'd be surprised if anyone in my company (a management consulting firm with 50 employees) votes Republican.

I'm sure I know some Republicans, but the only one I'm close to is my mother. Other than her, I don't have a preacher.

13. Not in 30 years in the computer industry
I have not been subjected to any pressure to vote one way or the other
at any time in my career.
