Guatemala

I just wanted to post this information about Guatemala because elections are coming up soon there and Rios Montt is running again. The right wing parties in Guatemala are particularly violent and it would be a travesty for Montt to get back in power. The other rightist candidates are not too good either.

2. Electing Montt again, would be like Chile re-electing Pinochet

Decades pass, and nothing seems to change in these countries. The elite, who are all wealthy, white, Spanish-blooded oligarchs have sucked these nations dry, and killed millions, many times with the help and support of the U.S. government. I wonder if the U.S. is again backing Montt? The indigenous people of Guatemala were murdered by the thousands by Montt. He's a criminal and a murderer, therefore, by U.S. standards, a perfect candidate for president...
