Mentions no-bid contracts and an anti-Chimp site; Cheney's looking like Burgess Meredith again...

1. Happyburton

Vice President Dick Cheney has said he has no financial stake in Halliburton's future. (there's a lie in here somewhere)

"We should avoid stooping to our critics' level of dialogue, no matter how tempting that may be," wrote Lesar, who is also chairman and chief executive officer.

stoop ... to our critics level of dialogue?

bwhahahahahaha

Mr. Lesar, want to try Plan B?

2. Defend WHAT image??
Halliburton and corruption have always been synonymous. Cheney serves as a daily reminder, that is whenever he's around and not in his hiding place.

3. I was actually curious about 'helluvaburton'
so I went to their web site. It was well done, a typical expensive web site advertising their services, namely the OIL business.

Also, there was a statement from the Chairman. I clicked on it, and it was a letter to all interested parties about 'ethics'. Oh boy, I though, here it comes.

It was a letter about how all Hallitosis employees must follow a strict code of ethics, only do what's right, bla bla yak yak ad nauseum.....what about the Board of Directors?

6. Aha! This is why we saw that letter to the editor in the Houston paper
Remember that letter someone posted here last week, from a woman in the Halliburton legal dept? The gist was that Halliburton deserved praise for its contributions to rebuilding Iraq and for being an all around wonderful company. Just seemed unreal that someone would publically try to defend Halliburton. I guess she got the memo from Dick.
