I want to see some pictures from that freeper rally. Specifically all of the empty chairs.

That reminds me of a classic CSPAN pic I saw once. It said something like, "Rally to support Bush and our troops" or something and there was about a dozen people there and empty chairs.

cursed old women and war Veterans as they passed by...hurled foul language at children...these are vile people...but they are bush* main supporters...the Pat "nuke the U.S. State Department" Robertson types...yes, there were there, the American terrorists...about one dozen 'angry white males' bullying women and children...

HOw many people do you think were there?

100,000 as a conservative number....more buses were coming in all afternoon...and then, at 1:30 PM, the BLACK group joined us, who had been walking through the city from the NE, rallying since 9 AM (but not with us)...so more and more groups merged in...

looking at C-span video tonight, and being at the March...the stage area was WIDE...there's a big hill going up to the Monument...so it was distorted in a way...easier to see forward from the stage area, but there were thousands on the sides along the hill, and up the hill almost out of the camera...and also all along Constitution Avenue were thousands more at booths and sub-events, a whole group of 'black ladies' were there and others...so it was spread out..

but as we began to March, you could feel the strength of the crowd...swelling into the streets...I was near the back and never saw the front of the March...and Pennsylvania Avenue is a wide street...there were a lot of local people who came out to join us also, as the March began, because a lot of people live in downtown DC...the PINK LADIES through a BIG banner out a window, several stories long..."bush, you lied, you're fired !" hope someone got a photo...the crowd went wild for the PINK LADIES...people were yelling out their windows and off balconies...it was beautiful fall day in DC...temps in the 60's with some sunshine...really beautiful...

anyone can post on DCIndyMedia...which means DC Independent Media...those are regular local photographers taking real life photos and telling real news stories....

And to all who got to DC, Thank You for standing up against this regime of blatant stupidity. I promise, I will get to one of these things in the future; you are not alone! The country is behind you.

As for the freepers, let 'em rant, they are the minority, and they know it. The more they cuss out old ladies and kids, the more they show just how damn stupid they are. As an aside, for any lurking freepers out there, seems to me the pic's of the freeper rally had some youngsters of military age, maybe they should join up if they are that serious about this. Most of the rest of us have done our time, stand up and act on what you believe, or your voices are just wisps of vapor in the night.

Code Pink unfurled this sign along the march route. "Bush Lied. Fire Him" which then became a chant that lasted 2 blocks.

Along the route someone put this sticker on the eagle symbol. Quite effective I think. It says: President Bush is a Liar Medicare, Education, Taxes.

I was marching with jonnyblitz because well Zack got ahead of me, and jonny is a cool guy it turns out he knows those goo goo doll fans from a protest in NYC, they remembered him, and I think they got a kick out of his sign.
