CA Fires
I live in So Cal, and the fires are really, really bad. For those of you who pray, or think positive thoughts, or whatever, keep the fire victims in Southern California in your thoughts.

2. Link to satellite images of SoCal
Smoke is easily visible: http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/sandiego/sat/sat.shtml

I live in San Diego and it's covering most of the sky here.

3. are there fires to the east of San Diego too?
It looked like it on the sat photo, but it was hard to tell whether it was smoke or clouds.

4. It's both smoke and clouds
Edited on Sun Oct-26-03 11:23 AM by slackmaster
The clouds look like they'll blow out soon.

I think the smoke is from San Bernardino. It's dropping some ash here.

On edit at 8:22 AM PST - Make that lots of ash. The sun is no longer obscured. Ash cloud is thick to the north and west of here. The sun is illuminating the gray and black ash falling from the thick smoke cloud. Looks vaguly like a snowstorm.

I need some popcorn for this. Maybe a beer.
