Gore Support Center at Washington Rally
Everyone was at the DC rally, even we hard core Gore folk. Here's the preliminary report from the Al Gore Support Center. (I know people complain about organizations farming rallies for membership and support and I agree that it's annoying to be leafletted to death at these things. However, recruiting at rallies is one of the few ways organizations like ours can accomplish mass targeted marketing. Forgive us, even though we know what we do.)

Dedicated efforts were made by volunteers for the draft Gore initiative concerning the Friday, Oct. 24th evening vigil at the Veterans War Memorial in Washington, D.C., and at the peace-rally on the afternoon of Sat., Oct.25th. Volunteers worked around the clock to round up fellow volunteers from around the region, to create an important, respectable presence at the vigil, and to do intensive leafletting and volunteer recruitment work. More detailed feedback on the specific impressions, results and outcome of all this will follow in the next day or so, once those volunteers who were there return to their respective geographic locations.
