I gotta say... Out of all the Spins that I've heard from this Boffo Administration, this one is the best.... SO...To hop into your car, drive over to the hotel, get out and fire on it takes 2 months of planning? :wtf:

I can't wait until my wife asks me to mow the lawn... I'll simply tell her I'll do it in 2 months...she'll ask why and I'll tell her I gotta plan it....

I'm guessing the downing of that Blackhawk chopper took a year of planning....;-)

Here's the link to the story..

1. I heard MSNBC reporter following Wolfowitz say...
that they found a piece of machine thta looked like a "generator" but it was rigged up to fire the rockets automatically. He said it would have been much worse but there were about 11 or 12 rockets that did not fire?? How many more of these "generators" do they have just resting in their garages?

6. I am sure it took a while to plan
That being the case they still could have attacked whenever they pleased. Why not wednesday instead?

Why chose the day that Wolfie is in the house? Could they have choosen a day when a high value target was available?

Yes, the attack probably was not specifically designed for Wolfie. I am sure they would have been just as satisfied to shoot at any other high value target.

10. Wrong. It's brazenness shows it was hastily put together.
Desperate to make an attack when an opportuniy presents itslef, with only a window within which to pull it off, this attcak has the earmarks of high risk for high points. Two months, my ass.

Each statement their interviewees make regarding the Al Rashid Hotel attack requires a DU thread all its own, not to be deconstructed, because they're too absurd, but to be laughed at, uncontrollably. We're providing Letterman a week's worth of laughlines right here.

8. Five buck says
Wolfie does not make it out of Iraqi Airspace.

He was damned lucky getting in. How many guys with stingers are sitting patiently in cars near the airport right now?
What monumental idiocy allowed him to go to Mogadishu
Baghdad right now anyway?

They know it was a plan....uh....2 months in the making. Yeah, 2 months.....ehhhh...yeah, that's the ticket.
We have a new liar to hate and mock...Dempsey. Another Army hack, Pentagon shill.

11. Wolfie was in Baghdad for only a 3 day visit, starting Friday
This would have been Wolfie's last day in Baghdad. It really is a remarkable coincidence that the attack took place when Wolfie was present, and the window of opportunity so small.

12. One Bushshit spouter said the launcher was "home made" and mounted
in the trailer which would have taken too much time to target Wolfowitz. But no matter how long it took to equip the trailer and no matter how long an attack using these weapons was planned, the plan easily could have been changed to try to hit a target of opportunity. Remember how the invasion began?
But Bush was elated when he was told there was a chance to kill Saddam on the eve of the scheduled start of the war. On March 19, he made a last-minute decision to launch airstrikes on a Baghdad bunker where U.S. intelligence agents had just learned Saddam was spending the night. For days, he grilled aides for information about the Iraqi leader's fate and was dismayed when intelligence officials concluded that Saddam had survived.

They may have planned to attack one of Saddam's palaces or a bridge or a police station but could have decided to take a shot at Wolfowitz or even just the building he was in.

Just more Bushshit spin. And so many people are so stupid that they believe it without even thinking.

13. To say otherwise would mean that the Iraqis are smarter then we are,
have better intelligence, and are kicking out butts on a daily basis. No amount of spin can change the facts that stare us coldly in the face. Saddam told the truth and Bush lied. Case closed!
