TBTM in SF!

That's Sym in the back. I talked to him this morning - he said to give a big shout to all the DUers they met yesterday.

Since Sym was in SF all weekend, this week's TBTM Radio will be a Stranger solo flight. I updated the show literally this morning, and will have it live on the site later.

2. I loved Symbolman and the
limo. I enjoyed meeting him and his wife. I remember her name but not her DU name. Someone posted another picture of this, I'll look for it.

3. I was in SF yesterday and it was great!
The rolls royce with Sym et al giving out deception dollars was absolutely great. In fact, the street theater was spectacular in general -- there were folks dressed as green faced aliens touting that there were WMDs but that they had been stolen by aliens in the best National Inquiry style, people aloft stilts, a man on a unicycle, dance, a marching band, some naked folks, etc. My husband took some fabulous photos I'll try to post later. There was a wonderful sense of celebration in addition to protest -- it felt reminiscent of the sixties marches.

People there were unified in purpose...that's great to see anytime.

Here's a SHORT(8.4M) video of TBTM at the march!

6. you guys kicked ASS!
there was pretty much a constant media gaggle following you guys, and I think every person with a camera got a picture..

what I really thought was cool was that not only did you have things like "AWOL" written everywhere so much that no media could avoid incuding it in their shot, but you were even authentic enough not to have you website advertized anywhere that I could see! Pretty cool!

next time you guys come up here to SF for something like this, we should arrange to meet up afterwards. We always do the dinner & drinks thing, hell I got home at 3am from this one!

:toast:  :hi: :bounce:

and I don't wanna know where you got that car!

11. WOW!
Hey, it was SO much FUN! I threw so many 911 Deception Dollars that I actually got pretty good at floating them in front of cameras.. there were a LOT of pictures taken but none of them seem to show that car, man that car is a beauty too..

It was great meeting all the DU'rs or seeing them - where's that pic someone got me to take from the car of all the assembled DU'rs there?

Who's camera was that? It was a little tough taking a pic through those little bitty eyeholes that Cheney has :)

Be GLAD to hang out and drink and eat and gab with you guys, wanted to, even sent my wife over to get the details and give out out phone number, but THEN the car overheated in the parade, near the end so we had to peel off down a sidestreet and get some water into it.. then it wouldn't start and we also lost my wife in all the moving..

finally just went back to the hotel and had about five screwdrivers before falling asleep til the next day.. it was about 2 hundred degrees in that rubber mask and it was hotter than I'd ever seen San Francisco..

but it was a BLAST, lots of great protesters, the Code Pink ladies were out in full force and I spent some time "worshipping" and throwing big wads of bucks at the "Groping of Piece" Schwarzenegger group as well..

still taking it all in, JUST now got home..

we'll write up how it was for us and post some pic..

hey Tellwill!! Where's the video, the link doesn't work for me..

hope it's not the footage where I was wiping my backside with money and throwing it at people :)

thanks and nice meeting ya'll!

Let's do it again, when it COLDER :)

14. oh MAN! We were thinking about that...hot as hell!!!

We got ourselves about 3/4 of the way through the route, and it was oppressively hot...I was ready to sit, and fortunately, there was a shaded wall right near that first corner near Jefferson Square park...we stayed a while then went to the favorite SF joint (apparently) Tommy's Joynt.

It was a great turnout though, and you guys were a BIG hit. I my GOODNESS what a GREAT old car! Really beautiful. Your show was great, but I hope you guys had some water.

That camera belonged to proud_patriot's mom, so I don't know when we'll see it. I have quite a few pics of you all in that SF pics thread (when I find it I'll kick it a few times), and I fixed my link in that sub-post. It's not great video but it recorded your Chickenhawk horn! ;-)

Yes, next time (and I think there will be a next time) let's hope for a cooler day. Of course, we'll probably get rain and fog :eyes:

17. It was great meeting you!
Thanks for the special touch you brought to the protest.

And we must definitely meet next time for an after-march drink!

Saturday was another fantastic day; it was great meeting you, meeting other DUers from Southern Cal who came up to join us and also hanging out with that terrific DU gang!

Peace :)
