Good news for Gen. Clark in this one. Look at the bottom of the page.

2. Freeped because Clark's winning? In case you hadn't noticed...
Clark's a Democrat. Thanks for bringing the poll to our attention, but this looks like good news for the Democratic Party as is.

3. I am curious
Why does it matter if Bush is ahead in that poll? Why does it matter if Clark is ahead?

16. Maybe there are more DU members
at Bragg, Lejeune, Seymour Johnson and Pope than we thought! I'm a loyal, die-hard North Carolinian, but Wesley Clark is my guy, I would rather Edwards stay our Senior Senator, but alas I believe he's stepping down and will not be reelected and that leaves my state with Liddy Dole.....Help!?!

7. Both Clark AND Edwards have polled more than *
when I went on, both these gentlemen had polled more votes than Shrub. Kerry wasn't too far behind. And when you combined the votes for ALL the Democratic candidates, you find Shrub buried. I think that is very good news!

11. Freeped?
Why would Gen. Clark being in the lead in an Army Times poll lead you to conclude it's being 'freeped'?

15. Yep, it's being FReeped

Favorite comment: "Darned right, there's something rotten in Army Times. WHICH Army is this the paper for? I can't believe it's the U.S. Army. I don't think we have that many stupid and disloyal GI's."

Cracks me up when these f'ing hypocrites organize bombarding online polls with multiply votes, then are soooooo outraged when they suspect someone else beat them to it.

17. but again...
... why is the fact that Clark is leading an indication that it is being 'freeped'? I can think of several very obvious reasons why military personnel might vote for a general...

18. No, Clark's lead is not an indication of FReeping
I don't think FReepers knew about the poll until Buzzflash reported it, but as soon as they did, the call to trash it with vote-bombing was predictable.

I'd say that the fact that Bush has more than a single digit is an indication of FReeping. How dumb do FReepers have to be to not understand why Clark would be leading with military people against an AWOL chickenhawk who sent them into an illegal and unnecessary war after telling lie after lie after lie about how it was part of a "war on terror", while actually ignoring the real war on terror and real security issues, then telling the Iraqis to "bring it on" while simultaneously pushing for military pay and benefit cuts and turning its back on veterans of past wars. FReepers are pathetically delusional if they expect significant military support this time around, especially if Clark runs, but it looks like a lot of them will vote ABB.

as well in any other one I've seen. Am curious to his appeal to people in the military. What really is strange is ANY support for the chimp in light of the horrible messes he has created, can't believe he received a single vote.

22. Southerners disproportionately represented in armed services,
and there are more military bases in the south, out of proportion to the percentage of area the south makes up of the whole US.

If you're in the military, chances are high you're from a working class southern family, and there's probably a higher change that you're black.

This is Edwards's core demographic -- southern, working class, and more likely to be black.

Snapshot at 10:45AM Sunday

Ambassador Carol Moseley Braun 0.24 % (13)
Gen. Wesley Clark (Ret.) 40.28 % (2,153)
Gov. Howard Dean 6.94 % (371)
Sen. John Edwards 0.52 % (28)
Rep. Dick Gephardt 2.15 % (115)
Sen. John Kerry 17.32 % (926)

Sen. Joe Lieberman 0.73 % (39)
Rev. Al Sharpton 1.42 % (76)

21. Clark and Kerry actually SERVED
and the military boys and girls KNOW that...my son told me his whole unit is behind Clark..
the bottom line is, they ALL know that Bush is a spoiled frat boy whose bottom line it to murder them all for his corporate friends..
In other words, the army , navy, air force, marines, and military vets all consider Bush a wimp and a fake..they hate him.
Roves photo ops on the carrier backfired.
