Edited on Mon Oct-27-03 08:38 PM by Cat Atomic
right after their domestic terror attacks start next summer. No running like a chickenshit this time, boyo! Next time he'll be prepared!

3. When is it?
It will be an amazing display of crackheadedness.

Does anybody know the schedule for these things?

13. There is explicitly NO schedule.
The last one was announced less than 24 hours before its scheduled time, if I recall correctly.

6. I hope he does and that it's
set up like the scripted one he had - remember? He had a seating chart and called on "reporters" from that? He knew the questions to be asked; his answers were written down for him. Would love to see something like this again - absolute comedy at it's finest!

8. I remember that one....
....Bush is so shitty off the cuff he has to make sure Helen Thomas doesn't sneak in there and ask him something remotely intellectual.

btw, welcome to DU. :kick:

10. Thanks! And it sure wasn't a good idea
to make an enemy of Helen Thomas. I think my favorite question of that scripted press conference was the last one - the softball - something about how does his faith keep him going - what a joke!

7. There's something the candidates could be pounding him on
If they would pledge to have weekly or monthly conferences and challenge him to do the same.

The press doesn't eat breakfast, or lunch, or dinner - I think they've taken to slurping up babyfood.

the Democrat candidate for president. In other words, probably not in our lifetime.

24. What I'd love to see
is to have him in an unscripted press conference. That is, no list of questions to reporters beforehand. No calling on just the lapdogs in the press. Give Helen Thomas free reign.

But alas, that will not happen. They're gonna hide the chimp till election time. Only tightly scripted and rehearsed appearances will be allowed.
