CBC Explores Bush and 9/11 Questions
Edited on Tue Oct-28-03 11:06 AM by sweet_scotia
Tonight's the night - - A reminder to all who have CBC:

On September 11, 2001, pilotless airplanes were guided into the World Trade Center by homing beacons. It wasn't a plane that hit the Pentagon, but a missile. U.S. Air Force planes weren't scrambled to intercept the hijacked planes that morning because the White House was behind the events of that tragic day. Incredible? Definitely. Outlandish? Absolutely. But, there are lots of people who believe that at least some parts of these stories are true.

In a special season premiere investigation the fifth estate's Bob McKeown finds that even the most outlandish conspiracy theory may have its basis in a legitimate question. In the course of separating fact from fiction, Bob delves into the labyrinthine and surprising ties between the Bushes and the Bin Ladens. What he finds out may startle you as much as any conspiracy theory.

8. "Canada's state run media"?
It's no more "state run" than the BBC. It's publically funded, and run at arm's length from the state.

The CBC has been responsible through their investigative journalism, for the resignation of government biggies in the past!

11. Canadian Journalism...
The Canadian press is so much better then our weasels. I am fortunate to live close enough to Canada where I can watch their news coverage. During the war, I often turned to the Canadian broadcasts because they covered the story as reporters. It wasn't the ex-generals on parade like the American media.

While I am sure Dateline and 60 minutes II will have some hard hitting investigative work on the Kobe Trial or Elizabeth Smart, I will watch REAL journalists on The 5th Estate.
