Dean Meet-Ups hit 130,000 last night.
When I saw that, I braced myself in case he got mentioned a lot today. Glad I did.

I don't mind the people who really have questions and concerns. I do mind the ones who do not post about other things. It bothers me that they do not make thoughtful posts on other issues.

It bothers me that there are so many who just will not accept answers, just keep saying to clarify and not enough, just pushing and pushing.

1. I would not worry about it so much mf
Dean has had a lot of success lately. It would seem that there are a fair few who are jealous of that success. It is their problem not ours.

The 130,000 is excellent news BTW. As is Jesse Jackson Jr's endorsement. And the endorsement of the 'Black and Gold'. And the endorsment of the CTA. And, of course, the good poll news.

2. I worry that he will not be allowed to succeed.
That too many of our party are too tied to the present course.

Yes, I do worry. As I told our state party when asking about the straw vote, it is not because we think Dean is perfect. It is because we think the party, especially here, has gone too far to the right.

Now, someone will start a thread referring back to all the people who criticize the party, and they will mean me.

Yes, I do criticize their present path. Yes, I do.

I am fearful they will not allow him to succeed.

7. I just found out about the "California Teachers Association"
endorsement and was properly Thrilled! This is something I can point to with Teachers I know in New York. I remember a few months ago talking about Dean and no one here thought he had a chance(too unknown) ..well, that's changed through hard Grassroots Resistance!

3. Hehe, imagine being a Clark supporter
It's like 24-7 "Well, what about that speech in 02?"

Go with the flow, I'm sure once the nominee is selected the focus will go back on Bush.

8. I think Dean should be asked about his 2002 comments:
http://fordean.org/aa/issues/press_view.asp?ID=398
From Feb 02:

“He (Dean) does credit Bush for being "popular because he knows who he is, and he speaks unambiguously about his message."

He (Dean) gets a deluge of phone calls from reporters asking him to clarify his position. Which is -- "as I've said about eight times today," he says, annoyed -- that Saddam must be disarmed, but with a multilateral force under the auspices of the United Nations. If the U.N. in the end chooses not to enforce its own resolutions, then the U.S. should give Saddam 30 to 60 days to disarm, and if he doesn't, unilateral action is a regrettable, but unavoidable, choice.

Very good. Right on cue.

On edit, you were asked some questions last night about a source, but there was no answer.

13. Govenor Dean had this to say on Feb.25, 2003
"My view of this is since Iraq is not an imminent danger to the United States, the United States should not unilaterally attack Iraq. Iraq does not have nuclear weapons. They do not have much of a nuclear program, if they have one at all left. And they have not... there is not any particular evidence that is convincing that they have given weapons of mass destruction to terrorists. All those three things would constitute, in my view, a reason to defend our country by unilaterally attacking. But those are not the cases. Sec. Powell and the president have not made those cases well." Howard Dean February 25,2003

6. Clarifying issues isn't a total waste.
I'm one of the undecided (yes, still) that reads everything they can, good or bad, about the candidates. I don't post in the threads with the candidates, 'cause I still feel like I'm in the learning stage. :)

12. Well, you just need to toddle on over to the Dean blog,
choose issues from the left column, and you will not have to be in the learning stage.

Now if you want to know what any of them thought 8 or 10 years ago, you need to look less. Just look right here at DU!

10. That is so AWESOME!
I love the fact that Dean has really energized people enough to get them to move in unison to vote SHRUB out!
Over 100k is astounding and it is all a tribute to Dean and his campaign staff.
