What price stability?
I saw posted on here recently that Kerry was kept off of the Iran/Contra senate committee because they thought he'd be too aggressive and we needed to save the republic. I believe I also saw in the CBC/conspiracy thread that Bill Clinton knew what time it was after 9/11 but, again, kept quiet so as to save the republic. Which brings me to this: this country is my home. I love it. I'm raising a family here. I fully know that if the US collapsed, even just financially, would have ramifications I can't begin to comprehend. That said, if the republic needs saving this frequently, and from mostly the same people, maybe we need it to crumble so it can be properly resurected? At the very least, if we're saving repug ass all over the place you'd think they wouldn't be trying to rule the way * has. They should be kissing our asses and giving us single-payer health care. Thoughts?
