Media ignoring Lott "mow the whole place down" quote... Deja Vu?

The quote about Strom Thurmond perhaps wasn't even as disgusting as his "mow the whole place down" remark on Iraq, yet if you do a Google news search you'll find that only Capitol Hill Blue, Washington Times, AlterNet, and CommonDreams have given it any coverage (even Crossfire ignored it and the local Clarion Ledger gives their state senator a pass). They all read Drudge and he had the link to The Hill's story, yet nothing... The media has once again ignored Lott when you'd think they'd be paying him extra scrutiny.
