Point blank, conservatives cannot be reasoned with. This is not 1982 or even 91 when there was room for discussion. Anyone who supports Bush or the conservative agenda is at least two out of three: stupid, greedy, or a liar. The reason that liberals have been unable to get their message across is that we are too damn pussified. No one would stand up to W last time and say "You are a coke head, an idiot, and a fraud." The left invented the "PC movement" but it's not something I embrace for a minute. The fact is that conservatives are the villains in history books and any person who isn't educated enough to know this is an idiot, anyone who knows it but doesn't admit it is a liar, and anyone who knows it but doesn't care is an evil greed-monger. I sincerely do not differentiate between conservatives and racists, theocrats, homophobes, sexists, polluters or corproate theives because THIS is who they represent. So let's cut the bullshit: What happens between now and the coming year is not academic, it is VERY real. If we are able to elect a Democrat in 04 then we can resume normal relationships with our conservative brother in laws. Until then, they should be dead to you.

That's so very true. Conservatives have been against every positive change in American history. The first conservatives were the Britsh lackeys that tried to sabotage the revolution, to the slaverowners who seceeded, to the Robber Barrons, to the KKK. The story of America is our fight for freedom against the conservatives.

I've tried everything with my born-again Christian mother. My next strategy was to tell her to look my daughter in the eye and spit in her face if she is even thinking of voting for Bush again. A little extreme, but that would sum up the contempt she has for her grandchildren's future if she votes for this man again. A woman who is able to put on the tears at will so that she can appear compassionate goes blank when I tell her how many innocent people have been maimed and killed in Iraq. She goes blank when I tell her our soldiers are lacking equipment. She's blank when I tell her all the things Bush is doing that are the opposite of what Jesus says in the Bible. She doesn't believe me when I tell her that her favorite news channel is misinforming her. I was briefly a born-again Christian many years ago, and let me tell you, I've never met such soulless, selfish, shallow, programmed people in my life. When you look into someone's eyes after conversing with them, and you see a blank look and all they can reply is, 'Praise the Lord'...yikes!
