I should have known you've been to Nashville. Check out the Frist (wince) Center at about 8th and Broad (old post office). Not a huge amount of art but quality, and the art deco building is fabulous.

One of the groups of "unbelievers" that the Taliban and friends were killing were the small villages in the north that maintain the true Greek Religion - Alexander made an impression! (they are also in the north of Pakistan)
Meanwhile I do enjoy posting by the Evangelical atheists - but folks there are many boards on the web where you obtain a bit more self-esteem by saying tou are atheists - why hang at DU?

20. Self expression on the part of oppressed minorities
is a time honored method of liberating oneself from the stress brought about by the oppression. It has been practiced by numerous groups including blacks, gays, and women. Admittedly some of our numbers can become a bit boisterous but this is simply brought about by the fact that an effective means of dialog has not yet been learned on this subject matter. It takes time to establish the protocols of such dialog and until then it is largely anger and bravado that do much of the speaking. Work with us to clear the air. Not to shut our expressing ourselves down.
But if you take a look through history you will see that rising oppressed groups go through a stage where they express their anger towards their oppressors. We have to learn to communicate without the anger.
