I'm baaaaack.....I think

A couple of days later, and the power system is still 'fragile' apparently, but I'm here again.

We could still have some 'rolling blackouts' while they get the grid here back up, but we are now decoupled from the American system, and Ontario is back online for the most part.

Wow, I hate being cut off from the Matrix.

How were you affected by the blackout? I was in Cleveland a few hours after it started. Everything looked to be going okay there. They had cops out directing traffic. All the radio stations were off the air except 1100 WTAM AM on your radio dial. I had business in Cleveland but it got cancelled and I had to turn around and head back home to the southwestern part of the state where I live. We weren't affected by the blackout here.

Well I ate sandwiches for supper, had kerosene lanterns for light for the rest of the evening....boy it's hard to read that way....and was thoroughly bored.

Hot too without the a/c!

But...so far so good.

I've just got my fingers crossed it doesn't do it again!

I went through this in '65, and again in '77 I think it was, and we were told this couldn't happen again.

Grrrr......
