Maple Jelly... doesn't that sound yummy.? Who orders catalog food?
Edited on Sat Aug-16-03 05:50 PM by SoCalDem
I order Smuckers marshmallow ice cream topping, because our asshole grocers out here thing that a delicate POURABLE marshmallow topping is "just the same as that icky Marshmallow fluff " in a jar stuff :(

Maple fans rejoice! Now you can enjoy the sublime taste of 100% grade A, medium amber Vermont maple syrup in our maple jelly. We boil down the maple syrup until it forms this delectable jelly; the taste is light and delicious. We like to spread it on toast and bagels, glaze our Sunday ham with it, and add it to whipped cream to make a palate-pleasing frosting. 7 oz. jar.

1. your post got me thinking....
my childhood jelly was smucker's cinnamon apple. I'd always thought they'd discontinued it, since I'd not seen it in years, no matter what part of the country I was living. 'Just found it on their online internet store and am about to buy a case for me and my sister!

2. I love their site.. They ship fast and the price is not bad
What people don't know is that a lot of their favorite food is NOT DISCONTINUED..

The "conglomerated food folks" BID on shelf space at stores.. That is why Pepsi and Coke always have "Endcaps" and long spans of shelf space for their products..

The grocery industry makes so little "per" item, that they have come to depend on these "BRIBES" for food placement...

So when a manager tells you that a favorite of yours has been discontinued, what he is REALLY saying is that their parent company is being paid more money to display a DIFFERENT product, so you just better buy THAT one , and forget about the one you like :(

6. I love putting maple syrup on ice cream
but it has to be pure maple syrup- not maple-flavoured maple corn syrup.
